QUALITY APPROACH FOR DISPENSING PHARMACISTS

CUSTOMER OBJECTIVES

Understanding that quality and safety are of the utmost importance in the pharmaceutical supply chain, representatives of dispensing pharmacists and students, members of the “Haut Comité Qualité à L’Officine” (High Committee for Quality in Dispensing Pharmacies), made a collective decision to define “quality” standards for professionals in the sector.

  • Improve and standardize the quality of pharmaceutical practices to provide better care for patients and ensure health safety
  • Promote the “Démarche Qualité à l’Officine” (Quality Approach for Dispensing Pharmacists – DQO) among pharmacists and raise awareness to make it THE benchmark approach

STRATEGY

2019 : STRUCTURING PHASE

  • Creation of a graphic identity for the Quality Approach for Dispensing Pharmacists
  • Survey among licensed and assistant pharmacists to identify opportunities and barriers to the profession’s commitment to the Quality Approach
  • Creation of communication tools (videos, presentation materials)

2020 : INFORMATION PHASE

2021-2024 : ENGAGEMENT PHASE

  • Organization of a working group to define needs on the ground
  • Strategy to raise awareness among professionals in the sector, to create a united front with regard to pharmaceutical quality, via a 360-degree media campaign with testimonials from pharmacists already applying this approach (print and digital advertising in industry press, social media campaign, creation of a specific page on the DQO website, links on other professional websites)
  • Annual support campaign (newsletters, webinars, news articles, presence at conferences, regular updating of website content)
